A System Integration Company for Small and Mid-Size Businesses
Large integrators are built for enterprise budgets, and small firms are left stitching systems together with spreadsheets. Vascoh is a software firm that connects the systems you already own and builds the missing pieces between them.

A system integrator designs and builds the connections that let separate software act as one system. That includes mapping data between applications, building the interfaces, handling errors and then monitoring the result. The work covers cloud and on-premise software, modern REST APIs and older formats such as flat files, EDI documents and database links.
The 2025 MuleSoft Connectivity Benchmark Report found that the average enterprise manages 897 applications and only 29% are integrated. Only 2% of organizations have more than half of their applications connected. Most of the work in this field remains to be done.
Vascoh focuses on small and mid-size companies in aviation, hospitality, real estate and manufacturing, where the systems are often specialized: a hotel PMS, an MLS feed, a maintenance tracking package, a shop-floor system. The specific interfaces differ, but the same engineering discipline applies to all of them.
How do you choose a system integration company?
Ask who will write the code and who will be available after launch. Large integrators often subcontract build work, and small shops may disappear. Ask to see how they handle failures, because every integration works in the demo.
Be wary of proposals that quote a fixed price before anyone has looked at your systems. The effort depends on API quality, data cleanliness and how many exceptions exist, so a short paid discovery phase is usually more honest than a guess.
- Do they document field mappings and hand over source code?
- How do they test with bad data and vendor outages?
- Who gets alerted at 3 a.m. when a sync fails?
- Do they know your industry's systems, such as property management, hotel PMS, MES or fleet software?
What are the common integration architectures?
Point-to-point connections are quick and work for two or three systems. They become unmanageable as the count grows, because each new application needs a connection to every other one. A hub-and-spoke design sends everything through a central integration layer, so each system connects once.
Event-driven designs use webhooks or a message queue so systems react to changes as they happen. Vascoh picks the pattern per project: a point-to-point link when two systems are enough, a middleware layer when four or more share the same data.
Where do integration projects fail?
The technical connection rarely causes the failure. Conflicting definitions do: one system counts a booking at deposit and another at check-in, or one calls a customer an account and another a contact. Without a decision on definitions, the integration moves data faithfully and the numbers still disagree.
Data silos are the visible symptom. In the same benchmark, 90% of organizations reported business obstacles caused by silos. Fixing them starts with agreeing who owns each piece of data.
Documentation is the deliverable that gets skipped. A one-page diagram of which system sends what to which, with the trigger and the owner for each arrow, helps new staff, auditors and the next developer. Vascoh produces that diagram as part of each project and updates it when flows change.
What does a first engagement look like?
A first engagement is usually one painful flow, such as order to invoice or reservation to housekeeping, built end to end with monitoring. That gives you a working integration, a reusable pattern and a clear view of what to connect next.
Pick a flow with a clear owner on your side. Integration projects stall when nobody can decide which system wins a conflict, so naming a business owner for the data is part of the first week's work.
How a project runs
From first call to working system.
Discovery
Vascoh inventories your systems, data owners and manual handoffs, then picks the flow where integration pays back first.
Build
Interfaces, mappings, queues and error handling are built and tested against sandboxes and sample data.
Run and extend
After launch the integration is monitored, documented and handed over, and the pattern is reused for the next system.
Questions
Common questions
What does system integration entail?
It entails mapping data between applications, building the interfaces that move it, handling errors and duplicates, and monitoring the result so separate systems behave as one.
What is the difference between system integration and software integration?
The terms overlap. System integration usually refers to connecting larger platforms such as ERP, PMS and CRM, while software integration also covers smaller tools and APIs.
Can a small company afford system integration?
Yes, if scope is limited to the flows that cost the most manual time. Starting with one connection avoids a large program and still removes the worst double entry.
Do you replace our existing systems?
No replacement is required. Integration works with the systems you already run, and replacement only comes up when a system cannot expose its data at all.
